14th of February

I need some love today of all days. I've been in a loving relationship for 4 years now I'd say, we've had our ups & downs, we've been through the good times and stuck together during the bad but one things for sure I will love Voy por Ustedes no matter what.

This wonderfull horse is running today at Ascot which is the highlight of this busy weekend's racing.

I'll start at Ascot...

Reynoldstown Novice Chase...The key here is the Feltham Chase at Kempton, this has been the best stepping stone to todays contest. One horse who stands out after taking the Feltham, having won on testing ground in Ireland is Breedsbreeze

1.05 @ Ascot - Breedsbreeze €50 win @ 2.3

Ascot Chase...I'm looking for a horse who was in the frame last time out in a Grade 1 race, a horse who contested the King George on Boxing Day & has scored over two miles 5. Hmmmmm, I look down the card and see my one true love, Voy Por Ustedes.

2.15 @ Ascot - Voy Por Ustedes €50 win @ 2.24
The Sawyer €25 place @ 8.2

Rendlesham Hurdle....Bit of a tricky one this, history tells me to look for a French bred horse, who raced at Ascot or Haydock last time out & is rated 144 or higher. Leaves two horses, one is fantastic but one like the ground, one isn't so but will like the ground.

1.20 @ Haydock - Duc De Regniere €50 win @ 3.45
Sweetheart €25 place @ 3.25

Gold Cup Chase....a 3 mile 4 slog in the mud here, only two horses have experience in this kind of race on this ground. Using the Welsh National at Chepstow as a pointer it's got to be our old friend Cornish Set

1.55 @ Haydock - Cornish Set €50 place @ 3.25
Sherwood Folly €25 place @ 3.55

Last race of interest is at Wincanton

2.40 @ Wincanton - Askazar €50 win @ 4.48
